His sudden departure has left a void that can never be filled, but his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him.
A Devoted Father and Family Man
Jackson’s greatest joy in life was being a father to his precious son, Noah. From the moment Noah was born, Jackson embraced fatherhood with deep love and devotion. He cherished every moment, whether playing catch in the backyard, teaching his son about the world, or simply holding him close. Jackson was Noah’s biggest supporter, protector, and role model—qualities that will continue to guide his son in the years to come.
Jackson’s love extended to his entire family. He was a dedicated husband to his wife, Lindsay, a caring son to his parents, Mark Lane and Diana Rathbun, and a loyal brother to Pamela, Andrew, and Kaylee. His nieces, nephew, cousins, aunts, and uncles adored him, and he always made sure they knew how much he loved them. His bond with family was unbreakable, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
A Life of Passion and Adventure
Jackson was born on January 12, 1995, in Midlothian, VA, and from an early age, he was full of energy, curiosity, and an adventurous spirit. Growing up surrounded by a loving family, he was instilled with the values of hard work, integrity, and kindness.
A talented athlete, Jackson attended Manchester High School, where he excelled in baseball. His love for the game was evident every time he stepped onto the field, and his dedication earned him the opportunity to play at Christopher Newport University (CNU). While at CNU, he not only honed his skills as a baseball player but also developed lifelong friendships and pursued his passion for Mass Communications, earning his Bachelor’s Degree.
After college, Jackson embarked on a successful career in project management, where his leadership, problem-solving skills, and determination helped him thrive. However, his love for sports and mentoring never faded. He dedicated time to coaching and mentoring young baseball players, sharing his knowledge and passion for the game, and leaving a lasting impact on those he guided.
A Man of Many Talents and Interests
Jackson’s enthusiasm for sports extended beyond baseball. He was an avid golfer and combined his technical skills with his love for the game by establishing Boomer’s Golf Garage, where he specialized in repairing and customizing golf equipment. Through this venture, he created a space where fellow golfers could find quality craftsmanship and a shared passion for the sport.
Jackson also had an incredible sense of humor, one that could bring laughter to even the most difficult days. His magnetic personality made everyone feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated. Whether he was cracking jokes, telling stories, or simply offering a kind word, he had a way of brightening the lives of those around him.
In his quieter moments, Jackson found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending evenings by the fire pit, watching the stars with his binoculars, and listening to the sounds of nature. His appreciation for birds became a cherished hobby, and he found peace in observing them from his backyard.
Jackson’s love for sports was unwavering. He cheered for the Philadelphia Eagles with unmatched enthusiasm and was a devoted fan of Nottingham Forest F.C. in soccer, often discussing matches with fellow fans. He was also an outdoorsman at heart, enjoying fishing trips with his dad and friends, where he cherished the tranquility of nature and the thrill of the catch.
A Legacy of Love and Kindness
Jackson’s passing is an immeasurable loss, but his legacy of love, kindness, and joy will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched. He leaves behind a family that will forever cherish his memory and a community that is better for having known him.
